Trip to Ohio

Our first night in Ohio was spent in a hotel, (due to uninvited guests at the Palmer home), so we made the best of it and had a great time. The next morning when we got up Stella was running around in this cute little T-shirt that said big sister. Believe it or not, Joni, (the other grandma) and I never even noticed what it said. So after a little while Taryn said, "do you like Stellas shirt?" We were like yea it is really cute, then we took a closer look and Joni started to scream so I started to scream, it took me a minute to realize what we were screaming about but I eventually caught on. I am going to be a grandma again! They will be 22 months apart. I think it will be great, I said to Ry and T you might as well have another one while you know you have insurance because after you graduate who knows where you will be.

The next night we also stayed in the hotel and took full advantage of the swimming pool, don't worry I won't post pictures. It was so much fun to watch Stella play in the water. I think her diaper weighed more than she did. We also took advantage of the fact that someone else would clean up after we left. For that reason I love to stay in hotels.

Grandpa Palmer and baby Leyla

We have been so blessed to have a new little person join the Palmer family. Leyla was born March 21 st at 7:30 pm weighing in at 6 lbs 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. She is a beauty and has lots of black hair. She looks sooooo much like Greg when he was born. She was taken to the NICU shortly after birth, she swallowed Meconium when she was born and since Karly was running a fever they were worried about her. She was grunting a bit after birth and so they felt like for precautionary purposes she need to be started on antibiotics and kept on oxygen. We felt bad everyone couldn't come see and hold her but always better to be safe than sorry. Her blood cultures came back negative and she was released from the NICU about 3 hours before Karly was discharged and so everyone was able to come home together. Grandma and grandpa was able to go over and hold her the day after she came home. It was heaven, what a sweet spirit these little one bring with them. Love ya Leyla.

Sweethearts dance 2010

Large group of goodlooking, awesome teenagers. Very polite and well mannered crowd, all you moms can be proud.

Ashlie and Nate, Sweethearts dance

This was a really fun week end. Several of the moms/dad and I helped serve dinner to a very large group, I think 13 couples. Lisa donated her house and furnishings; Stephanie arranged for the main dinner (Firehouse pasta, pizza and Olive Garden salad and breadsticks); Debbie and Donna hooked us up with a great desert, homemade fazookies; Stan came and took pictures for us; I did centerpieces with chocolate covered strawberries, white chocolate covered green grapes and blackberries, yum, yum, (Hint: white chocolate dipped blackberries are the bomb, the grapes were great too). Lindsay (Dano's cousin) was the perfect hostess, nice, helpful and very cute! So all in all we had a great time. I will miss doing these kinds of activies with Ashlie. I can't believe she is graduating this year! "Craziness", (is that a word), I guess it is now, I never thought I would be in this place.

Christmas Dance, Ashlie and Tanner

Ashlie and Tanner have been friends since middle school, they even had a crush on each other back in about 7th or 8th grade. I am so glad they were able to go to the dance together. Tanner's mom and dad are friends of mine from childhood. We all grew up together in Wellsville, in fact Sanda and I lived just 2 blocks from each other and use to walk home from church and other activities together. We also worked at Taco Time together.
